Kevin Jones, Chief Executive Officer

During more than 20 years as a fintech executive, Kevin Jones has created customer-centered cultures, driving diverse teams to consistent year-over-year revenue increases, operational fitness, strong profitability, and shareholder return.

As founder and CEO of Celero Commerce, Kevin is building an organization that blends payments and software technologies into an easy-to-consume bundle of products and services aimed at helping small and mid-sized businesses compete and win in a complex marketplace. Celero, currently the 16th-largest non-bank payments processor in the country, serves more than 25,000 American businesses through strategic partnerships, direct-to-merchant strategies, integrated distribution channels, and software-as-a-service solutions for over 60 verticals.

Since the company’s founding in late 2018, Jones and the leadership team at Celero have completed four acquisitions, as they focus on building the country’s premier platform of high-tech, high-touch payments solutions that help businesses thrive.

Kevin began his payments & technology career at industry giant Chase Paymentech, achieving record sales for his national division. He followed up on this success by reviving the strategic partner channel at First American Payment Systems, as well as a successful stint as President of SignaPay, where he ultimately achieved five-fold growth in adjusted EBITDA. Kevin most recently achieved a successful exit at Anovia Payments, guiding this startup to a valuation of 14x EBITDA and 8.5x initial seed investment, with organic acquisition of more than 10,000 customers in a four-year period.

The current President and Chairman of the Electronic Transactions Association, Kevin is both a thought leader and passionate advocate known for his ability to galvanize teams around issues affecting the industry and companies within it. Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and three children.


Jeff Brown, Chief Operating Officer

For nearly 30 years, Jeff Brown has defined operational excellence at the executive level of the payments & technology industry. His ability to adapt to the technology demands of the industry is remarkable, and his ability to apply technology in the service of commerce is peerless.

Jeff has designed and implemented programs that spur entrepreneurial growth for his clients, partners, and customers. His greatest strength is developing integrated technology platforms that underpin commerce: helping owners and executives manage their businesses and improve cash flow.

He began his career at industry giant Chase Paymentech, rising to group manager. After a stint at Priceline WebHouse Club, Jeff resumed his payments career, working at a veritable who’s who of the industry in leadership positions ranging from executive vice president and chief operating officer to owner and president. Successful career stops include his leadership at First Data, CardSystems Solutions, Equity Commerce, SignaPay, Cuffr, Anovia Payments, and JetPay.

Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.


Scott Farace, Chief Marketing Officer

For more than 30 years, Scott Farace has defined brand-building and the customer experience for companies of all sizes, at virtually every stage of the business life cycle, and across multiple industry sectors. Scott comes to the Celero Commerce team with deep experience building financial services and financial technology brands ranging from Chase Paymentech to Bank of America, Capital One, MasterCard, Allstate, and Northwestern Mutual. 

Prior to joining Celero, Scott worked as a partner and head of strategy at several marketing and advertising firms, most recently with S-Squared Creative, an agency with offices in Dallas, Chicago, and San Diego. In addition to a deep roster of financial brands, Scott has led groundbreaking work for retailers (Albertson’s, Dicks Sporting Goods), packaged goods manufacturers (Keebler, Frito-Lay, Nabisco, Coca-Cola), technology concerns (Dell, AT&T, Metro PCS, Compaq), auto manufacturers (BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, General Motors), and shipping (UPS).

Scott is also known as a major proponent of cause marketing, with a consistent track record of lending his services to major charities to promote their brands and increase fundraising. To date, Scott has led initiatives with the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the fund to create the World War II Memorial, the Children’s Miracle Network, and the Last Well.

Scott Farace earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond and a master’s degree in marketing from Georgia State University.


Jim Harris, Senior Vice President of Sales, President of UMS Banking

Jim Harris, has demonstrated leadership for more than 20 years at every level of the payments & technology industry, from managing strategic partnerships at the industry’s largest player to founding and investing in a pair of successful startups.

Jim co-founded and served on the executive leadership team at MeritCard Solutions, one of the fastest growing merchant services providers during its eight-year run prior to a successful exit via acquisition by Paysafe in early 2016.  He has served on multiple boards of other fast-growing companies, including mobile solutions provider Tixsee and computer vision and machine learning platform Image Vision.

At Chase Paymentech, Jim served as director of the firm’s strategic partner channel and also spearheaded efforts in sales and financial institution management. While managing the company’s strategic partner channel with more than 50 bank partners nationwide, Jim’s team drove the acquisition of more than 800 new merchants each month.

Jim Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.


Troy Wilkerson, Chief Financial Officer

Troy Wilkerson has spent the last two decades in executive leadership roles in the payments & technology industry, using his financial talents to support high-growth businesses and successfully complete a number of mergers and acquisitions along with corporate integrations.  His expertise spans areas ranging from managerial finance and financial modeling in the payments industry to acquisition integration, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.  

Prior to joining Celero, Troy served as CFO for Company.com, a private equity-backed technology company providing services to small and mid-sized businesses. Before his tenure at Company.com, he was CFO for Solveras Payment Solutions. Previously, Troy held leadership positions in financial analysis and reporting at Verus Financial Management, a private equity-backed payment processing company, as well as Hypercom, Elavon, and PMT Services. 

Troy Wilkerson earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. He is a certified public accountant (license currently inactive) in the state of Tennessee.
