Looking Back at a Year of Excellence

For our team at Celero, this year has been one of achievement, excellence, and growth. Each and every member of our organization has made tremendous strides in furthering Celero’s mission of supporting community banks and small to mid-sized businesses across the United States. We’re proud to grow alongside our clients as we help each other accomplish bigger, better things through collaboration and continuous innovation.

As we enter into a brand new year, we’d like to take a moment to look back at a few highlights of 2022. In addition to acquiring the bright, dedicated teams at Community Bankers Merchant Services (CBMS) and OMEGA Technology, a number of our team members were recognized by the business community for their accomplishments.

Ernst & Young Southeast Entrepreneur of the Year® Award

Each year, Ernst & Young (EY) recognizes the contributions of entrepreneurs from Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee in their Southeast Entrepreneur of the Year® Award. This preeminent award identifies the best and the brightest minds in the Southeast— entrepreneurs who are changing the game and helping to build a better, more prosperous world for all. This year, Celero and its Founder Kevin Jones received this prestigious award.

Regarding EY’s announcement, Kevin said, “I am humbled by this recognition from the team at Ernst & Young. To me, this is a team award that honors the passion and drive of nearly 300 Celero employees and dozens of strategic partners. Furthermore, it proves our concept that small and mid-sized businesses around the country can grow sustainably with the right combination of bundled high-tech, high-touch commerce solutions.”

Nashville Biz Journal 2022 CFO Award

Elizabeth Green, Vice President and Controller for Celero, always brings her unique blend of excellence and commitment to her role. Her extensive finance knowledge and willingness to always go the extra mile contribute to her consistency in bolstering Celero’s financial performance in the highly competitive fintech industry. This year, Nashville Business Journal recognized Elizabeth’s hard work and dedication by awarding her their 2022 CFO Award.

This independently awarded honor highlights outstanding professionals who helped their companies to maintain strong financial footings in the past year. Since joining Celero in late 2020, Elizabeth has demonstrated her expertise in every project she’s participated in. “Elizabeth brings strong industry knowledge, experience, and a great attitude to her job,” Celero Founder Kevin Jones said. “I am pleased to have others recognize her skills and achievements.”

NEXT Awards and Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame

Earlier this year, the leading entrepreneurs in Music City were recognized for their contributions to our community. The NEXT Awards and Entrepreneurs’ Hall of Fame honor the individuals who are making massive waves in their markets, resulting in a more competitive, exciting, and prosperous business landscape. This year, Celero’s Kevin Jones was named a finalist for Products, Services, and Retail Market Movers.

Kevin was joined by other incredible leaders, including Amy Kurland, Founder of Nashville’s iconic Bluebird Café; Amy Green, Owner and Founder of the Nashville Collaborative Counseling Center; and André Prince, Owner of Nashville’s legendary Prince’s Hot Chicken.

Cheers to Another Great Year

Since our founding in 2018, we’ve been driven by a single mission: to help community banks as well as their commercial clients thrive. This mission encourages our team to constantly do more, be better, and identify opportunities to better serve our clients.

Because of our deep commitment to helping our clients succeed, we’ll never satisfy for good enough— excellence in everything we do is our ultimate objective. We’re looking forward to another year of achievement in 2023. Thank you for growing with us.
