Celero recently held the second session of its Leadership Development Program, designed to cultivate company leaders through learning and growth opportunities.

The program aims to educate new leaders and forge connections with existing leaders at Celero. Internal executives present their insights, as well as external partners who cover topics such as change management, conflict resolution, and constructive feedback. Sessions also emphasize Celero’s Core Values – respect, open and honest communication, and the pursuit of excellence.

“We are very excited about the Leadership Development Program,” said Training and Development Manager Kara Barker, who is leading the program. “Celero understands the importance of investing in its employees and giving them the opportunities they need to grow and develop.”

The first session of the 2022 cohort opened with CEO Kevin Jones welcoming participants and giving an overview of Celero’s history and future.

“I enjoyed having the chance to share the story of our past and our path into the future with those in the Leadership Development Program,” Kevin said. “Celero wants to ensure all our employees have the chance to grow and develop during their time here.”

Chief Technology Officer Charlie Berard followed Kevin’s presentation with an engaging session on the company’s core value of “Simple Disruptive Solutions,” while Chief Operating Officer Jeff Brown presented on the core value of “Pursue Excellence.” Rounding out the first session, participants also took the Gallup quiz to identify their strengths.

Kara planned several activities throughout the program to help participants develop their core strengths. Kelvin Elston from Epic Global Group presented six sessions focused on preparing for leadership. Other presenters included key members of the Celero Commerce executive team, including Chief Financial Officer Troy Wilkerson, Executive Vice President of Sales Kevin Brolan, Senior Vice President of Human Resources Deidra Parsons, and Vice President of Corporate Development Abigail Lucier.

The 2022 cohort of the Celero Leadership Development Program includes Digital Marketing Specialist Maggie Campbell; Senior DBA and Team Lead Maureen Evans; Talent Acquisition Specialist Jestin Jones; Bank Referral Account Executive Jorge LaCourt; and Merchant Support Representative Britney Vasquez.
